Vice President and Counsel

This is a series made for a class assignment. We were supposed to photograph something we hate, so I came up with this.

The idea of the series was inspired by recent experiences with job applications, interviews, and the whirlwind of Chicago's corporate traffic. The pictures work through the concept that there is a familiar thought that the right suit, proper attire, and correct manners will get you the job instead of being the regular, casual self that you normally are. Sure, most people are normally polite and decently dressed, but there is always that extra act put on when hoping for that job. I don't necessarily 'hate' this idea as much as I find it interesting. This is actually moreso a reflection of my recent encounters in the job world: no idea what clothes to wear, don't have any clothes to wear, don't know how to act, where to go, what they want you to say, wear, do, etc., but if we DID know all those answers, we'd probably do it to get that job.
